Colossians 1:13-23

 

1. Jesus is the Savior (v. 13-14)

- Through Christ God...

  ...delivers us (v. 13)

  ...relocates us (v. 13)

  ...redeems us (v. 14)

  ...forgives us (v. 14)

 

2. Jesus is the Revealer (v. 15)

- He is the representation of God

- He is the manifestation of God

 

3. Jesus is the Creator (v. 15-17)

- Jesus made everything (v. 15-16)

- Jesus sustains everything (v. 17)

 

4. Jesus is the Leader (v. 18-20)

-Only Jesus...

  ...is to have first place (v. 18)

  ...has the fullness of deity (v. 19)

  ...is fit to make reconciliation (v. 20)

 

5. Jesus is the Maker (v. 21-23)

- We are set apart for His glory (v. 21-22)

- We must be steadfast in His gospel (v. 23)
