1 Corinthians 12-14

 

1 | We need to be informed about spiritual gifts. (12:1)

2 | Spiritual gifts are different and varied. (12:4-6)

3 | Every believer has one or more spiritual gifts. (12:7)

4 | Spiritual gifts are given for the good of the church. (12:7)

5 | The Holy Spirit sovereignly gives spiritual gifts. (12:8-11)

6 | Every believer has been baptized by the Holy Spirit. (12:12-13)

7 | Every member of the body of Christ is valuable and necessary. (12:14-27)

8 | No one believer has every spiritual gift nor is one particular gift given to every believer. ( 12:28-31)

9 | It is better to be godly (loving) than gifted. (13:1-13)

10 | Prophecy is more valuable than tongues. (14:1-5)

11 | In a public assembly of believers a message in tongues is to be interpreted to all who are present. (14:6-19; 22-28)

12 | We are not to forbid speaking in tongues. (14:39)

13 | Public assembly of believers is to be orderly, not chaotic. (14:40)
