Philippians 1:6
1 | Justification: I have been saved from the penalty of sin ("He who began a good work in you")
The Method Of Justification:
- Through the death of Christ as our substitute (2 Corinthians 5:9)
- Through the blood of Christ (Romans 5:9)
- Through the grace of Christ (Romans 3:24)
- By faith in Christ (Romans 3:28)
The Benefits Of Justification:
- Peace with God (Romans 5:1)
- Access to God (Romans 5:2)
- No condemnation (Romans 8:1)
2 | Sanctification: I am being saved from the power of sin ("will carry it on")
- The goal of sanctification is holiness (1 Thessalonians 5:23)
- The means of sanctification is the Holy Spirit and the Word of God (2 Thessalonians 2:13)
3 |Glorification: I will be saved from the presence of sin ("until the day of Christ Jesus")
- 1 John 3:2
- Philippians 3:20-21
